THE STORY OF KODO :(

Rog and I decided we wanted a ferret so we went to Dr. Pets in the mall and brought home Podo. We decided that she needed a friend so we went the very next day and brought home her litter mate Kodo. These 2 Ferrets were inseperable. When we brought home Knod a year later ther were a little upset but they all became great ciblings. Kodo was always nice and lazy. She loved to lay in a hoodie and dangle her head out. This was one of her most favorite things. She was Rog's baby. They always cuddled since the day she was brought home. She went nuts over any kind of tomato sauce. We always gave the Ferrets a piece or 2 of crust after eating Pizza and I would always dip a section in sauce just for Kodo. French Fries, She loved french fires, while they all did, but I have so many memories of her with a french fry hanging out of her mouth. She was such a cuddly one. As you all know Kodo got cancer about a year ago. The Vet wanted to do a biapsy on her, while basically cut her open to see what they could find because they didn;t know what was causing her spleen to be so large. We decided against the biapsy because she was so weak and we wanted her live the last moments of her life happy and with her family. She surprised us all and lived almost another year. Last night I cleaned out their cage and when I picked up Kodo I noticed that her bottom half was covered in her own feces. She was sick but she had never had an issue making it to her potty. I took er and the others 2 upstairs for a bath and when I laid her on the ground I discovered that she had loss the use of her back legs entirely and she was really weak. I bathed her and she really couldn't hold her head above the water. Afterwards I wrapped her in a towel to dry as I washed the Podo and Knod. Then I finished up the cage and put them all to bed. I didn't tell Rog about her until the following morning (today). When I first woke up I warned Rog that Kodo might now make it another day or 2 and then I advised him of the eveintd from the night prior. Before I even had finished I said that I should check on her and when I did I had found that she had passed. She was laying in a way that she often did when she slept what was comforting. When I came back to remove her from the cage her Litter Mate Podo was lying on her (I would like to think it was to try to keep her warm). We Wrapped her in her favorite hammock, the one she passed in and put her in a box. Now I am trying to decide if we should have her burried or creamated. Anyhow, it has been an extremely sad day today and we will miss our little sweet Kodo for the rest of our lives. When Rog found out he was pretty distraught, after all she was his lttle Ferret Girl :( R.I.P. Kodo La Mark, We Love You!!!!!!)

Draka Daemon La Mark (Foxy Lady)

Our little "Foxy Lady" in the leaves at the park. She blends right in!!!
She is a purebred Siberian Husky puppy. We picked her up yesterday in St Johnsville which is near Albany. We ended up getting lost for about an hour and had to stop at a fire dept. for directions, but she was defintely worth it.

Draka, on the way home from the park, She has 1 brown/redish eye and 1 that is 1/2 blue and 1/2 brownish red. Notice how she has her paws crossed, all prim and proper.

Another park pic of Draka, We have been wanting a Siberian Husky for quite some time and I decided years ago that my 1st one will be named Drako, for Dragon. This puppy is a girl so we felt Draka was more appropriate. Our lil'Red Dragon. She is white and Red, quite gorgeous.

At the park, we stopped to relax and watch a couple of dogs play fetch.

"This is a little high, ma". I put her on the rock ledge thinking it would make a good pic, She thought it was too high.
