Draka Daemon La Mark (Foxy Lady)

Our little "Foxy Lady" in the leaves at the park. She blends right in!!!
She is a purebred Siberian Husky puppy. We picked her up yesterday in St Johnsville which is near Albany. We ended up getting lost for about an hour and had to stop at a fire dept. for directions, but she was defintely worth it.


Draka, on the way home from the park, She has 1 brown/redish eye and 1 that is 1/2 blue and 1/2 brownish red. Notice how she has her paws crossed, all prim and proper.


Another park pic of Draka, We have been wanting a Siberian Husky for quite some time and I decided years ago that my 1st one will be named Drako, for Dragon. This puppy is a girl so we felt Draka was more appropriate. Our lil'Red Dragon. She is white and Red, quite gorgeous.


At the park, we stopped to relax and watch a couple of dogs play fetch.


"This is a little high, ma". I put her on the rock ledge thinking it would make a good pic, She thought it was too high.

Irony, extremely late

Hello all, sorry I haven't been around and that I missed you all the other weekend. It has been so busy around, moving and re-modeling. Feel like I have no room breathe sometimes but then I look at the progress and smile. But anyway ironicly, after I won the Froggy cake Rog's mom submitted his birthday and he won a cake as well. We were prepared and stopped at Froggy first. Unfortunately I didn't get a pic of his cake but it was good. Once I get my desktop set up I will have lots of pics to share with everyone. My desktop seems to download pics better then my laptop. Not sure why since the laptop is newer. Anyway you all have a great day, hope to see you all soon. Later, Cass

Birthday Cake!!!

Thank you for the cake Mom, It was delicious. They weren't going to let me get it because I didn't have a coupon, guess I had to go to Froggy 1st to get the coupon. They called the manager out and he felt bad so he bought me candles and let me pick a cake. Thanks again!!!

Another Kodo Update :(

The Vet called me Saturday afternoon with Kodo's blood test results. We were informed that she is anemic, her blood cell count is low and it looks like she might have Kidney failure. They want me to bring her in this week to have an XRay done to see if thay can't find any tumors. If nothing shows up on the XRay then they will have to do a biopsy to see what the problem is. Chances still are that she has cancer.

Schyler has been in NY this past week and he will be here for approx 2 more weeks. We have all been having a blast. Below is a pic of Schy while he was playing with his Power Rangers on his slide a couple days ago.

Kodo Update

I spoke with the Vet Office today. They wil have her blood work results tomorrow. They said they will call me between 8-12:30 with her results. My fingers are crossed, though I expect/ preparing myself for the worst.

Vet visit with Kodo :( Pending results?

Today I had an appointment for Kodo (my ferret) at the Vet. She has been pretty sick. She has lost most of her weight and is just skin and bones now, also she has been walking with a wobble and yesterday we noticed that she has a large, hard mass on her belly. The Veternarian informed us that her Spleen is swollen/infected (hence the large hard mass). It is swollen at least 3 inches in length and approx 2 in width, it is pretty bad. Also she has a fever and runny nose. Chances are she has cancer :( They took her blood to test for cancer and we should have the results by Tuesday at the latest. (cancer and tumors are common in ferrets as they age). They had to take her blood through her neck so they had to shave some of her fur away on her neck, we were told to be careful around her neck due to bruising from the needles. If the tests come back negative for cancer then they have to biopasy her spleen to see what the problem might be. Right now I have her seperated from the others so I can monitor her eating and potty, also so the others don't stress her out and possibly rupture her spleen. I am feeding her chicken baby food per the vet to help her gain some weight back, and she is also on amoxicillin to help with the fever/infection. I broke out in tears a few times today including while I was at the vet, She is about 4 1/2 yrs old now and I knew that ferrets have problems as they get older I just didn't expect it so soon. We plan to have the others tested this summer, especially her birth sister Podo since they carry the same genes. As of right now both Podo and Knod seem to be in good health. Well thanks for Reading. Poor old girl confined to a plastic tote for the time being. She has never been w/o the company of the other ferrets :(
